    The road I mentioned didn’t get that memo. It has been mismanaged over the past 3 decades. While some maintenance has been done over the years the road as a whole has been overdue for improvements for some time. It’s at least 25 years out of date due to the increased traffic volumes. 10 years ago give or take the road was sold to a Spanish/Australian consortium that was supposed to make sure the road was properly maintained-it ended up a money pit. The State of Indiana bought the road back and under the terms of the state buying the road the toll revenue was strictly supposed to go towards maintaining and repairing the road ONLY-under no circumstances was the revenue was supposed to go toward other projects in the state. Fast forward a few years the state is facing legal ramifications because they’re using the revenue for other construction projects!

    Amtrak has struggled because Congress has constantly starved the railroad for funding ever since it was founded-even though Congress was warned that the infrastructure was in dire need of repair and upgrading. Our national rail infrastructure is literally a CENTURY behind the times and when you try to have passenger trains run 100+ mph on tracks that can only handle 70-80 mph because the tracks are so old service will suffer and yet Congress is constantly in a deadlock over who is going to fund the maintenance/repairs!

    Amtrak struggles just like every other GOC. They always cry for more funding, yet they are mismanaged. If the market doesn't want rail travel, it shouldn't be forced upon taxpayers.

    Some people automatically assume that if someone drinks a beer, they automatically become more dangerous on the highway. Alcohol is just a depressant. I bet that some of you reading this have been prescribed depressants and you drive a truck.

    Maintaining railroad infrastructure costs money and it’s gotta come from somewhere!
    TANSTAAFL!!!
    From its inception Congress has consistently tried to starve out Amtrak. There was one person who ran the company who tried to turn things around and get trains and the infrastructure fixed,but Congress wouldn’t listen to him!

    Depends upon the TYPE OF BEER and the SIZE of the Container.
    A 16 OZ can of Old English 800 doesn't change one's attitude much, if at all, however it also depends upon how much sleep before drinking as well when the Person had eaten some real food (for absorbing purpose).
    A 32 to 40 OZ Bottle of the same type MALT LIQUOR (BEER) DOES CHANGE ones Attitude as well vehicular driving characteristics regardless of what the individual believes.
    In Trucking, well, results have been PROVEN countless times Nationally as well Worldwide.
    Such WILL CONTINUE especially during the "silly season" from Halloween through January 1th......and sadly beyond.
