    Good evening,

DOT foods is one of the few companies that interest me. I was wondering if anybody has gone through their training program and has a first time account on what it’s like? I know they run some pretty nice equipment and I was wondering if anybody on here currently drives for them?

I did a search on TTR and it doesn’t give many results for DOT Foods.. Probably not going to get many useful replies…like mine :)

If you’re talking about their in-house truck driving school, that’s only offered at their MD facility.

I'm about to say something that's a little off topic that you won't like but you seem like a decent guy from your other threads and I think you need to hear it.

Don't worry about driving jobs right now. Due to your upcoming surgery you have a very difficult period of personal adjustment coming up and a trucking job with you sitting on your butt for hours per day is the last thing you need.

If I were you I would consider getting a dock job and then, when you've got your personal stuff under control, then see about moving into a driver position if you still want to.

You may get some exercise at dot foods warehouse. Won’t have to worry to much about heat stroke either.

The OP of that thread is a good dude. I spent quite a bit of time talking to him, in the driver lounge, when we’d take breaks in MTS. What actual Dot drivers posted in that thread is accurate. Unfortunately, naysayers have tried to cloud the waters with their negativity. It’s a great place to work.

I used to pickup at their Batesville, IN facility they always had nice people working in the shipper/receiving office. Building was clean. Nice equipment. If I ever go back OTR they would be on my short list.
