I don't believe they are getting the "real" percentage of the loads by what I see the drivers get paid.
Bet they are brokering loads to themselves through a backdoor and skimming some for themselves.

    EvertonP and ducnut Thank this.

Here is a listing of the court filings to date.
It is 100% legitimate, you easily find several legal websites that mention this case that was filed on February 9 2022, a few months after he was terminated. The actual filings are behind a paywall, but you can tell it is an active case.

This is interesting: One of the attorneys for Annett Holdings (TMC) is an Kawania Brown James. She has practiced law in Atlanta for 13 years.

This is a case where she represented Food Lion grocery stores in a slip and fall case 6 years ago.
Food Lion originally offered to settle for $25K.
Plaintiff rejected offer, went to trial.
Jury found the plaintiff 30% negligent in the fall awarded $17K
Because the plaintiff was partially to blame, and rejected the original offer, Food Lion sued for attorneys fees and costs
Food Lion was awarded $57K in both. Plaintiff now owes Food Lion $40K

    Whoops.

When I first started in flatbeds, I went to work at a percentage company. Since I needed the experience, I stayed there 2yrs, until switching to a mileage company. The whole time, I felt like I was being skimmed, because doing reverse math, based on my paid percentage, the numbers didn’t add up. I knew the truck couldn’t be getting paid so little and still go down the road. Then, taking my mileage numbers and multiplying by the typical driver rate, I saw I’d be making more money on mileage. When I switched to mileage rate and a maroon truck, my pay increased by ~50%, better benefits, better equipment, better people, better everything.

I worked percentage in flatbed, made some decent money. The rate the truck was paid was on the bills we received, took my 30% off the top of that.

I just stopped in to say I love your profile pic. "Everybody's got a price. Everybody's gotta pay. The Million Dollar Man ALWAYS gets his way!" or "Some might cost a little, some might cost a lot. But I'm the Million Dollar Man and you WILL be bought!"

Sorry if you feel like the big bad wolf. I certainly don't.

I tire of the narrow minded morons who will confide their racist views to you just because you are white.
Of course then stupidity (racism) knows no boundaries. It's a stupid human condition.
