What's going on Drivers! Got a 16 Cascadia. Having some difficulties deciding where to place my antenna mounts. I prefer the factory look(side of sleeper) because it's a cleaner look. Or should I mount it to the mirror bracket? In either situation, I'll be using the proper rated coax cable. Thus, does anyone know of any metal/frame to mount on side of sleeper? It seems to be all fiberglass. Thanks in advance and Be Safe Drivers!

The Cascadia antenna solutions post you were referred to was started by me. The solution I came up with worked well for me until I retired in 2017. The best antenna was the 7' SkipShooter. With just a slight lean forward away from the cab, it had a great SWR. I posted pictures on that thread. I slip-seated so the antenna support ain't the best looking thing.....but it worked! You need something or it flops all over the place. I think I still have my mirror mount. It's all stainless steel. I'll give you the setup if you'll pay the shipping, or if you ever travel U.S. 65 thru Arkansas, we might meet. I go to Joplin quite a bit too. The mount won't work on the 2017s. Freightliner changed the mirror mounts in 2017, but it would probably be easily modified if you ever get a newer truck. PM me if your interested. P.S. If you run a single, good quality coax to the factory antenna location, it might work good for you.

Yeah, I'm finding that out......first time I've ever mounted one on the side. Volvo being a steel cab, I thought it would do better.

Volvo might be better if they still have an all metal cab...

The mounts will fit the old style Cascadia and Evolution up to 2019 at least, we have some 2018 and 2019. The new style has a different mirror mounting and was first available on new style 2017s.

Old style also had a split windshield and a small wing glass in the door that was not operable.

If, and I mean “If” I wanted to install a “102” whip on my 388(avatar), where would the install be on ? My Wilson 2k works great, but at times I just wanna do something different, already tried the Stryker mic and didn’t work out, now I’ve been curious with antennas lately, including the sirio and stryker a 10 antennas….

Bottom support bracket of your mirror and lean it forward. I wouldn't change from what you got. If it's right, you won't notice that much difference.
