    ^^^ YES!!! This is critical.

IL making you do everything became effective, 12/1/22. I started moving back to IL, from FL, early October. I finally got more sure of where I’d land and got a job, by end of month. Early November, it was a mad dash to secure housing, so I’d have a physical address, so I could secure my CDL before the deadline. It’s mindblowing, IL would require someone who’d only been gone 2yrs, with nearly 30yrs accident-free experience, to go back through everything as if they’re a new commercial driver.

^^^ I’d skip this one. Sysco is a better bet. Even more better is Sysco have no-touch, linehaul options, too.

I'd shy away from food service or LTL when you first get there. Cincy has some funky roads that can catch you out if you aren't familiar with the area.
You want to find a company that has you driving a few set routes, or someone that has you running from Cincy to Dayton or Indy or Louisville.
If you come back, send me a PM.

    tscottme and Eimar586 Thank this.

Look into pulling Tankers lots of local work in the area. BTC who bought out the company (Girton LLL) I worked for hires new drivers, QC,Dana and many more will train you. Easy work and pays very well

    I wrote that one down.
Wilder is 4 miles from Cincinnati.
Has a facility in Conley, GA also that's 15 miles from Atlanta.
From the website, looks like they haul lots of produce also.

    Eimar586 Thanks this.
