The point is, you claim your life is much more enjoyable with an old truck. Enjoyment is subjective. If I had to drive the FLD or W9 that I had today instead of this new truck I wouldn’t find it enjoyable at all. I’m sure the things that I find enjoyable are of no interest to you. What I have found though is that having newer nice equipment has gotten my foot in the door when it comes to leasing to different places. I’m not a real o/o so I try and use that to my advantage.
Waiting on New Trucks thread.

I know you’re asking him, but my monthly payment is $2400 for 4 years. I have very little maintenance cost, and this truck is getting 2mpg better than the 2017 I had before it. So that extra money is making my payment and then some.D.Tibbitt, larry2903, Midwest Trucker and 4 others Thank this.

Look, I'm not leasing to anyone. It's only me
and the tax man. -

With the way my back is I would not even drive an older truck. I would be in such misery I would move on to something else. No way I would even think of it now days. But of course not all of us are worried about making a payment like some people I guess. I could care less about making a payment or not. It is set up on auto pay and goes out just like every other business expense does.

I can make that in 2-3 days so not a big deal at all.
What kind of MPG do you get in that truck?Jubal Early Times Thanks this. -
Mine mpg is 6.5, no DEF, that with diesel APU running all the time.
-
Average at least. That was what my old truck did as well.
-
It's a huge deal.
