In orientation here now so far so good. They are very nice and take care of everything. One person actually came back after leaving, and wished he didn’t.
Help I want out of this company, only 2 months experience.

R. E. West Transportation
Has a terminal in Michigan. It's dry van, so I'd put that one on a back burner and go for refrigerated company as a first choice. It's there if you need it though, as a second choice. You'll make a lot more money pulling reefers.

Midwest Direct Transport is up in Coopersville, I'm doing rather well there. DM me for their recruiting info. I have no idea what they're paying company drivers, tho. It's preferable if you have tanker endorsement, as well.

Any Michigan flatbed company not making you loads of money is clueless.
I’d go knock on the doors of Van Kampen and Van Eerden, both in GR. Both have some of the nicest equipment on the road.

So for the last 2years I've been trying to find a company to stick with and build my career. I tried western express 1st. Well everyone knows how that went. Then I found another company a small one right in my home town. I thought that this would be a hit. No. I've been here 4 months my truck has been in the shop at least twice a month every month the whole 4 months. And now I'm stuck in Missouri. Truck won't go above 5 miles an hour. Mind you I told them that the truck was acting funny half way here. And on top of that they just had my truck for like 4 or 5days. Told me they fixed everything. They pay my ok because I get rates. But I'm not even on the road enough to really stack up any money. At this point I don't know if I should stay and stick it through to see if things get better. Or continue to work here and try to find another job and then leave. Because at this point I could be driving local and make the same money I do now. Be home every night for my kids. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice for me.
austinmike Thanks this. -
