Did another truck driver hit your truck?

    Did a mechanic damage it?

    Was it caught on video?

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

What did the insurance company say when you contacted them?

Got that but which is it, you work for a company where you drive a truck and they damaged the truck or you are an owner operator who had a truck damaged at a location by an employee and you seek compensation?

Here is how it works, if you have damages to anything by an employee of any shipper or receiver, you have to inform their management of the damages immediately, have them document it and have the deal with THEIR insurance company.

If they say no, and tell you to piss off, then that's where you need a lawyer immediately involved to fix the problem.

AND either way, no matter what, DOCUMENT everything, the names of the people you talk to, WHEN YOU TALKED TO THEM and what they said, You takephotos of EVERYTHING like the location of the truck, the damage and even what damaged the truck. ALL OF THIS MATTERS FOR YOU.

I wish some of you owners would engage with legal advisors and lawyers before something happens, legal services is one way to do it, because when something like this happens, you need to have someone covering your back, even if you spend a few grand a year on it, you won't be asking for help.

    Siinman Thanks this.

If they refuse to pay, file a claim with your insurance company. Get your money and let your insurance company pursue the responsible company for damages. Your insurance company has lawyers you can't afford.

Was your truck insured as that is the reason behind insuring it? Perhaps there's an excess fee the insurance will charge you, you could sue the employee for that amount, but if the insurance is covering it then you make a claim with them first.
