Delivery yesterday of my implements by the regional LTL:
Driver calls 1pm- "I've got two more stops then I'll be up to you. What's it like up there? they gave me chains but they won't fit."
You'll never make it, I've got the forks on the loader I'll meet you at the main road.
"Great! Thanks! I'll call when I'm at the bottom of the hill"
Driver calls 230pm- "I got stuck at my last delivery and just got out, I'll make this next one and be up to you. Sorry"
No problem, be safe.
Driver calls 330pm- "I made my last delivery and now my truck won't start, mobile mechanic is on the way I'll be up after they get it going. Really sorry"
That sucks. No problem.
Driver calls 530pm- "Mobil mech can't figure out what's wrong but got it started, boss wants me to head back to get truck in the shop (80mi, dark, ice, snow !!) we'll get them to you tomorrow or the next day. Really, really sorry"
No problem here. Get yourself home safe that's all that matters now driver.
Bad day for the LTL driver.

 

Wife’s dad had a winter home in Ft. Myers at a 55 and older place. After looking it over he just walked away. Said at 87 he’s just not gonna try and build it back….
