Ok I don't want any specific names of customers, but what type of companies generally move reefer-haz freight? By this I mean what is the general commodity moved? Also is it worth it or should I stick with dry-haz, btw tanker endorsed too.

I hauled lots of hazmat loads in reefer trailers.
Didn't need the reefer so turned it off.
The benefit to pulling reefers is, that you can haul dry van loads and hazmat loads and refrigerated loads. Easy to keep the wheels turning pulling a reefer trailer.Another Canadian driver, aussiejosh and Boondock Thank this. -
Or food ingredients, like gum oil.
Think freeze protect product.Chinatown and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
I don't know of any reefer companies that haul hazmat, sorry can't help with that...ChicagoJohn and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Can't reefer trailers keep the interior from freezing when cold weather is at hand? Maybe they use reefer trailer to not let the product get too cold.

Used to haul stuff from an ice cream manufacture that was haz. Had to keep it set at -10°.
Also hauled chemicals that had to be kept refrigerated due to extremely low flash points.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Yes, like said above.....alot of products need protection from freezing

For instance I haul (5.2) UN3109 Liquid Organic Peroxide which a low flash pointm I transport it in a refer, not freezing but kept down around set between 65 -90 degrees. The flash is around 140, only of concern during summer months.
