The downside to the "aero package." I already had to straighten a bash shield and replace a plastic piece that goes over it on the underside of my son's truck. A dark lot at an old place with bad pavement. Going over whatever broken pavement he hit wasn't the problem. The rear lip of the bash shield caught it when he backed off it. Not unsurprisingly, the Mack dealer had the replacement parts in stock at a reasonable price. Almost as-if they sell a lot of them.

Lesson learned: if you do pull up too far and touch something underneath, better put a block under a steer tire to gain clearance in reverse.

I'll take the curb strike over fixing that any day.

At least it was running 8.3/mpg average. This might screw up the aerodynamics. LOL

    RedForeman and Siinman Thank this.

    Not exactly my words. LOL

When i used to buy Pete's out of MN, three new ones in a row whapped deer coming back to WI. Ever hear drivers whine about their new truck that's smashed up?

    No doubt.

I can, but can’t imagine. You’ve definitely had some sour luck on these things.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Well last trip was 8 MPG all in at about 4K miles. Not too bad I guess on the winter diesel.

Finally got an order in for a Utility Design Tail that is coming in 3-4 weeks. This time I went with the company I bought my trailer and they are more professional about it.

Spent Monday and Tuesday out and stayed home looking for a home run hit for the winter storm. Booked a decent load at least and not really even in the bad area going to Grantsville UT from KCMO for 5K. So my hold out didn't go quite as planned but not bad. Most the time these loads go for 3200-3500 it seems. Have not done those loads since I first started out so will be interesting going out. Might take a trip North after that and see if I cannot find a good paying load to match it. Was looking for 7K to go out around Seattle but most would only go upto 6K.
