Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

He paid $38k just before prices went crazy. Bought the Trailer on my advice. However he never really liked it. I’ve jokingly offered to give him the original full price. He’s guessing $45k at auction. Offered it to me for $40k if I want it. I’m sure he’d rather get the $45k. Maybe we’ll split the difference. My 08 is on borrowed time.

 

I haven’t check any previous Auction sales. I used to keep up with equipment prices. Now only when in the Market to buy or sell. Prices are crazy. My first Trailer, 01 Great Dane, bought in ‘04 for the $12k payoff. It was as an unheard of $26k new. It had SS rear frame, air slide tandems and all aluminum wheels. Paid 11k for my current 08, in 2017.

 

don’t forget that he’d be out the transportation and the auction premium plus the hassle. 10% under auction would be break even for him.

 

Well, that could be good for you anyway. Weren't you saying that the sale of one of your trucks was somewhat contingent upon not having a driver to put in it?

 

He won't get more than 35K after the auction fees. I wouldn't offer him more than that.
Honestly I would offer 30K first.

 

Auctions have gone dead for the sellers of trucks.. Plenty of 2019 cascadias and t680s going for 30k-40k.. The same trucks that dealers and private sellers are flipping for 60k+

Yeah, it’s really good for me. None were standouts, a couple were decent. I’m happy about it for sure but it’s a sign of the market is why I shared.

 

No fake money memes tonight... how stupid can I get going to the casino with $5k... ???? sitting down at the 5/10 no limit table with that, I was the super dupper short stack... LOL crazy...
