Hey everybody,
So I've been offered a pretty good job working for a Fedex contractor but I'm having some trouble with my background check. I've been driving almost 20 years and I spent 5 years driving for Walmart. I left (voluntarily) in September of last year and now I'm having trouble getting them to verify my experience. The contractor I'm trying to hire on with has a specific form they want filled out and Walmart is dragging their feet. Has anybody else ever experienced something like this? I've only had 3 jobs in the last 10 years but they need 5 and I'm a couple of months shy without Walmart. Any suggestions would be appreciated because this has been going on for a couple of week. Thanks.

Make copies of your W2s for those years and send them. I had a company I worked for 4 years try to say they never heard of me, and thats what I did. Not at Fed Ex, but same thing.

Really nothing you can do if Walmart doesn't reply and FedEx won't take anything but their specific form.
Just get in contact with FedEx and see if they can/will do anything else like logs, taxes, etc....
This is ultimately FedEx being a pain in the backside....Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Yeah, that's the thing. Walmart verified I worked there right away but apparently they need this particular form. I was wondering if this has happened to anybody else?

When I went to Landstar they were hung up by my employment at USF Holland. They never replied to "the form" either. I gave the background checker Hollands phone number, told them to ask for city dispatch. Didnt matter which of the 2 dispatchers that answered as they both had been my supervisor at 1 time or another. 10 mins later they called back and said, in effect: "Welcome to Landstar".
Now I know Fed Ex is weird. I had applied there once (Fed Ex Freight) and since I had worked at American Freight (they begged me to stay when I left so I know I was on good terms) they wouldnt hire me. But when I applied to a Fed Ex contractor, it was fine - no problems.
I did get a better job while I was waiting to hear back from them though, so I never actually worked for them. -
Hey everybody, thanks for the replies. The form was filled out (after a month) and I am a good to go. Thanks for the support.
