I started with May in '07 and left them due to a family illness. I am now with Cargo Express a sister company of Navajo out of Denver. I went to Idaho Provisioners State Certified School... a division of Cargo Express... it was just what it is... they asked for 6 months if you financed the school and if you did not you were free to go anywhere you could. I chose May because they seemed to have a prettey good additional training policy. Things have changed there and I don't think the same people are involved in the extended training... I would give Cargo a call... and talk to Denise the owner. He is a good guy and it's a family business. They have about 120 trucks and the yard is off beach craft circle... tell them the guy in truck 11161, the guy who was just blown over by the tornado in Arizona... said to contact them... you can talk to Bob in safety as well. All considerate and decent people.

Well guys I'm back from my training trip and test out tomorrow and hope to get my truck. I will say the trip was kinda a shock to the system the first few days. I got used to the way things go after that and enjoyed myself after that. I would say the only bad part of the trip was the constant snow we were in back east. We spent a good part of our time running the midwest and northeast.
The other thing that took a bit of getting used to was being passed by almost every other truck on the road, we are gov. at 61 mph and it kinda sucks when a swift truck blows by you.
Any way, all and all May is not a bad company so far and I had a good trainer who showed me how to get by on the road and how to deal with delays and other hassels we came across out there.
    Good luck to you all.

Renegade Viper, does cargo have decent mechanics now? i know the one that was there and he is not a certified truck mechanic but he is gone now, also have the dispatchers changed? they used to ask if you wanted 11 western or 48 and if you signed the paper for 11 western they would run you 48 right off the bat. I have realy been thinking of going back just part time for 4 days at a time and just run northeast or to wyoming and back, even to denver and back wouldnt be bad. I just want new impartial voice on cargo now.And are they getting new trucks and what kind? KW or interrational?
