I and others were not forced to serve because of those men.

I respect and appreciate anyone that had to serve.

Have a great friend thats a retired Marine. Made the comment to me one night. "I didn't really serve. I was in Japan the whole time. It really was just a party". I asked him if it was his decision to be stationed in Japan. "Hell no". I said see you served. You went were you was told to. You did as you were told. It was not your choice. You would have went anyplace. You still did a job that needed to be done. You served Sir! Myself and family thanks you!

I asked @OLDSKOOLERnWV to post a pic of his dad on the sheepdog thread. The dog slaughtered an entire pack of coyotes to protect the sheep. The dog looks tired and weary, and is recovering from injury. Someone made the comment about how the dog looks docile. It wasn’t trying to be tough or a hero or even a martyr. Just doing my job, sorry coyote clan sucks to be you. Skool’s old Man has the same look in his eyes.

I was raised by my great uncle and great aunt. If aunt Winnie was alive today she would be 104. Sure do miss her, her ways of doing things are unseen and unheard of today…..

Let the fun begin. Just started snowing when I got here. Looks like they might have a chance at keeping the roads halfway decent, saw a bunch of plows staged every few exits

Little ice on the trees this am, now it's just raining. Saw there was chain requirements for I-99 among all the empty bans on 70,76,78,79,80, etc.
