I have had one in the past, not current.
    What's the question.

    Yep
Ask away but pretty much hand over the $$$$ and it’s yours with very few limitations and oversight… if you can believe that from this state

    OLDSKOOLERnWV and nikmirbre Thank this.

Yeah I purchased one back in August of this year......I was told at the scale today that it is for the same piece, every time, and only that piece? Like if youre a company and you have an excavator that you move from job site to job site around the state......

Any truth to that, ive read the provisions and cant really tell....?

    W923 Thanks this.

Along with the question I posted above to @W923 ......... This is what the scale tried to give me a $3000 ticket for yesterday morning.......we spent 30-45 minutes going round and round(me and scale master) ....... Im on 6 axles.... these are my weights
    roughly......
    12000
    37000
    49000

They tried to say that since my last axle on my trailer was a flip axle, I was only allowed 40k on my tridem??????
I argued im on 6 axles and permit says im allowed 60k on rear 3 axles....

    cke and W923 Thank this.

I don’t know about the blanket permit, but the flip axle is ########. I can only guess this guy graduated the academy two days ago.

Everything I find says truck specific not commodity specific. I think he was confused.

Tried? How did you eventually get out of it? Or is this going to court?

I have always carried a limited continuous permit…over weight and dimension.
There’s no routing and no regulation on what you haul but it is specific to your truck but only your truck. Should be good for any trailer with any load that falls in the size and weight specs

Oxbow, cke and Jubal Early Times Thank this.

So you had no problem with weight that I can see unless your flip axle wasn’t even close to even with the other two. 73E2567B-1BB6-49B8-8797-494412F80B9C.jpeg
so this is a picture of the permit that I keep. I didn’t take a picture of the other page because of what’s on it but there’s nothing other than the truck and my company info and the overall dimensions.
Sounds like someone was looking to generate some revenue…they have been really bad for the last several months.

OLDSKOOLERnWV, cke, Feedman and 2 others Thank this.
