Because the carcinogenic foam insulation inside deteriorates, gets inhaled directly into your lungs and could make you sick or kill you?
I thought CPAP machines were the safety panacea to end all.
Guess not.

Is your required CPAP machine being recalled?

Lol I've been on the replacement list for almost 2 years. They aren't in any rush to follow through on their replacement...
JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
My wife was sent a replacement after about a year. There have been scumbag lawyers doing a lot of advertising trying to round up customers on their lawsuits.

You’re a little late to the CPAP replacement party.

Finally got my replacement about two months ago. I haven't got around to opening the box yet though. Still using the recalled one. The VA monitors my recall one, don't know what's involved with switching to the new one.ducnut Thanks this.

Philips sent me an e-mail saying they wanted my original back, so they could refurb it and send it back out to someone. I don’t get it. I thought these were a danger to one’s health and had to be replaced.
Likewise, I’m not clear on the monitoring situation, either. Us CDL drivers gotta’ have the data for our annual medical exam.xlsdraw Thanks this. -
But the I'm gunna sue and get rich party is just starting.

I just thought it was ironic that a CPAP device, which we have been told will save untold numbers of lives by preventing driver fatigue through better sleep( a number that is impossible to quantify) is itself killing more people( A number easy to quantify.) than it saves
Another medical "advance" that falls short of the claims. -
Do you have a source for that claim?

The article does, in fact, state a CPAP machine contributes to better sleep. Contrary to your post.
Where in that article is there a claim CPAP machines kill people?
I’m not sure what angle you’re chasing, but, used properly, CPAP machines contribute to better sleep. It’s repeatedly been proven. I experienced huge improvements. People I know with them and who properly use them have experienced the same.
The article you linked is a bunch of suggestive claims, without any substantiation. It’s very poorly written by someone who must not have attended college-level composition courses. Argumentative writing is a requirement for any journalism degree. Unfortunately, any person can write garbage and post it on the internet, without recourse.
