All right, so in retrospect, I was a little too dickish in the last post, but I'll let it stand, because I won't pretend I didn't make a mistake.
The overall point of the post was this:
Sarcasm is part of the way we communicate.
I don't appreciate being called a newbie.
I take issue, Kabar, with your tendency (in this thread and others) to impeach the personal worth or value of people if their lives don't work out like yours.
When I pointed out that many drivers are cranky and pushy and that this must inevitably lead to difficulties with their dispatchers, it was an attempt to shed some light on the problem, not to tell people that they suck.
Also, I absolutely stand by my earlier sarcasm. Simply saying, "XYZ company is terrible, don't work there" is so unsubstantiated and useless, it only deserves a snarky response.

Came real close to hiring on, but after reading forced Per Diem, no thanks. I like my per diem the way that it is now. Was also looking at Midwest Regional, and have not really cared what I have read

Well no company is perfect that's for sure. I worked for a decent one and there were things I didn't agree with that they did. Everyone has an opinion on what they feel a co. should do for us drivers..most don't even come close. I sent in my app for Marten 2day and hopefully I get to see what they're all about. I realized that for the most part you give and take in life. Most drivers give a lot up to be on the road and receive very little in return.I was just happy to get a "good job" over the qualcomm.I'll be happy if they have equipment that's not falling apart, and from what I've seen...not too bad.If you read enough posts, you see that there's always someone out there who bashes even the "best" co's..You know what I mean.... By the way,was Dieselducy the guy watching trucks run redlights on youtube?...What a loser..

I must say, after watching your videos, its no wonder they fired you. Filming while you are driving down the road at highway speeds? At best thats distracted driving. I would like to hear the conversation if dot had pulled you over while filming. That would have been interesting.
nicnat2 Thanks this. -
I'm sure you a decent person but I don't understand why you would use a camcorder going over a pretty long bridge like that in ur video? Anyone who drives a truck for a living knows that they can get pretty squirly at a moments notice..If you sit back and see what they saw, you might understand their point of view. They don't know any of us drivers that well and could think you're some kind of crack pot...Know what I mean? I saw ur videos and wondered why you were standing on the corner filming them? Kinda funny...just my 2 cents...

Most companies would frown on someone filming anything while driving I think, mounted or not. What you do is your business but I would put your truck number on the video where someone could see though or it will be a repeat.
