Pick up 8 Hercules H-DC Tuesday. 400 each out the door. They used to be American tires made 30 miles from the house in Findlay, Ohio. Them Cooper bought them out, then Cooper was bought out. Website say American tire. I suspect they will say China. My Yokohama 703 i have only one complaint, the hold rocks bad. I suspect these will too. But the Jap Yokohama price is too high now. I'm have more age issues then wearing them out the last few years so casing credit is pointless.

I had a shop customer that loved them so I'm gonna give them a try. Not much choice currently.

 

I've been running roadlux on all my trailers for a long while now...no complaints other than some models carry pebbles more than others.

 

I sold a few sets of them. 11-12 years back. They bounced rolling the unmounted across the shop floor.

 

You folks are welcome for this comedy.

 

Borrowed a 50 ton with a pin on 3rd axle, I would have thought it would be more than only 4200 lbs heavier than my 35 ton…..

 

Painful yet funny as Hell.

That HDC doesn't "look" too bad? Reminds me of one of Goodyear's drive tire patterns..

When I first got Ol' Buck in 2017, I brought her to a small shop. The guy who ran the shop also had 2 trucks on the road, & he swore by the Hercules 702 drive tire. Not sure if that means anything.? Lol

Few months ago I put 4 new Roadmaster 17.5's on the wagon. They were all that was available on short notice. Felt ok at the time as Cooper owns them, so thought I might be getting an American tire.. Sidewall is branded "engineered by Cooper tire" made in China..

 

Tried getting the 702, discontinuing and H-DC replaced it. That 702 is a goodyear tread back into the 90's. But I dont recall the number anymore. You will notice alot of old premium pattern in low grade rubber years later. Then some newer models because some China manufacturers actually stole molds from American companies sometime back.
