99 44/100 % of hams don't CARE what CBers do ON their own set of frequencies. What they RESENT (and WILL help FIND) are those who somehow think they have these "inalienable rights" to talk on ANY frequency they want to simply because they were born! If it weren't for hearing these kinds of clowns ON the ham bands, you would NEVER hear a peep from the hams. And that is a fact. They don't CARE if people fry their brains with all that unnecessary power, trim all the coax they want to "git them "SWR'zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" down. or get SHOCKED while sticking screwdrivers down in radios where they don't know any better to stay OUT of!~ What causes hams to rant" is hearing some trucker ON 10 Meters with his ILLEGAL piece of junked-up, over-powered, over-modulated piece of sh-- radio and/or SPLATTERING from DC to Daylight thinking he's this h'yar BEEG REDDIO OPERATOR.

Seriously, if they would NOT do that, I doubt you'd hear a word from 'em. They might even HELP you with your radio problems. They come here to EDUCATE people about the RIGHT way to do radio, not to cause trouble.
The trouble comes in because certain ones don't LIKE to hear the TRUTH and are going to break the law anyway------until they get caught.

EXACTLY! Nobody is out here just to rag on CBers! But as you & I know, one of the main points of contention is the outright THEFT of frequencies and bands that DO NOT BELONG TO UNLICENSED APPLIANCE OPERATORS THAT THINK THEY HAVE RIGHTS TO STEAL THAT WHICH DOESN'T BELONG TO THEM. There's no harm meant, but anyone who EARNED the privileges of using radio legally and honorably by virtue of licensure, then why would they NOT resent the intrusion of unwanted and unlicensed person yapping away on 10 Meters (for example)?

Right is Right. WRONG is WRONG. And I am merely stating the resentment that is felt by many hams who find thieves yapping away where they don't belong. If those who feel that they have a "right" to interfere with others can't stand the "heat", stay OUT of the kitchen (10 and 12 Meters:biggrin_255: ) and they won't hear the hams raising sand......................or sneaking around to turn their butts in to FCC!:biggrin_25525: !

Nah your not a troll imo, you get your point across but in a civil manner that's usually educational to those who don't know. I know a lot of hams that don't act like a "ham". Most of them even run big power 11 meter stations too. In fact you just joined us at one of the "redneck joints" :biggrin_2559: a few days ago. I do think it's kind of funny the pissin contest a lot of hams and cb'ers get into and it does nothing but show the childish behavior of both.

I run a illegal hi power 10 meter radio but i have no need or ever had any need to transmit on any band other than the 40 channels designated to cb with it. I'll see ya around the redneck joint. AKA - black sheep :biggrin_25525:

My point always is there is no requirement for CBers to know rules and no test ... that dosn't change the laws or requirements that you obay them but as a long time licensed radio user it''s better to ELMER than to :biggrin_25510: off people .....

I don't get paid to do the FCCs job if they can't control the mess OUTSIDE the ham bands or how much power they run or what radio they use and with the new crop of FCC leadership we are all in trouble ......
They put the internet first with BPL and other technolgy that could distroy CB and HAM radio both.

Now as for your illegal power ..... you should know better after all you have read enough of my posts :biggrin_25514: :biggrin_2559:

    BUT .....

    THATS THE PROBLEM .......

The FCC has new people in charge and they beleve in INTERNET ..... To them CB would make a good place to place high power wireless routers.
The people who beleve they have a right to steal frequencys or interfere with taxis on 27.600FM need to be handled by the FCC we don't have rights down on that band we need to worry about the ones ABOVE 28.000 and BELOW 25.000 mhz.

It's our right and we should defend OUR bands because if we don't we will be the next TAXI SERVICE ........

I think the main issue is how each group is stereotyped. CB users are stereotyped as foul mouthed truckers with noise toys. Ham operators are stereotyped as goody 2 shoed busy bodies.

As far as unauthorized 10 meter radio use....while I concur to stay off the bands, some people that end up there don't know any better....they just accidentally flipped the band switch on their Connex from D to E and landed up on 28 mhz, yet thought they were still on 19 the trucker's channel. It's my belief not many truckers really know much about a CB radio other than how to key up and talk.

And then I'm sure there's a few who do know better but don't care because they're saying "catch me if you can".

Since they are using an illegal radio, that has more than likely also been modified to be even more illegal with more power and who knows what else, would you consider it bad if I just accidentally pulled the trigger on something and the bullet went who knows where? I think people need to be responsible for their actions, and pay the consequences when they are caught doing something wrong.

But as a Ham, I don't think I have ever hung out underneath a bridge and charged a toll!

That was my point too. I may have not been clear, I was not meaning you were the stereotypical ham, you are in fact the opposite of most stereotypical hams.
