Just seen a load of used RR rail on a flatbed, 6 2” ratchet scraps with no edge protection. And rail was just randomly piled on top of each other, some upside down and some turned on its edge….,

-38c here today. -46 with the wind. We were shutdown and now we are on xmas break.
Supposed to be -39 tonight, -53 with the wind.

First night home in decent time for months. I did ok. Sent 5 chicken quarters down the road. Turned out pretty decent. -
A local scrap yard moves it a lot, but never any money on it, especially for pushing weight. I see trucks going by the house like that - straps loose and flapping away. Rail is one of those loads that seem to only get properly secured about 15% of the time. Even doing it "correctly", I'd rather haul onions that those slippery things.
