Hey we're forecast for 36°f Christmas eve!! That is odd for us, being only 4 days into the winter season. There will probably be mayhem & looting in the street.. lol

Have not seen snowfall here since 12/24/1989. Not sure it is even recorded, but we had just enough to make a handful of snowballs Christmas morning & that seemed the coolest thing ever as a 6yr old. Friends as little as 1 mile away got none, or didn't stick so no snowballs for them.. Jacksonville, & some panhandle areas get a dusting every few years..

The Gorge....good not to be driving there with wintry weather and accidents. Have they widened that since I've been off the road? Remember only two lanes, but heard there was a rock slide closure since I've been off, and figured they may have widened it somewhat since it looked like they were thinking of doing it while I was still driving.

 

Yep. Looking at Michigan's next 4 days means we'll be having a cold and maybe White Christmas. All I know, is when I was driving, it snowed and iced in places other than my home state that never seemed to get it..so I figured I was the one taking the ill weather to other states.

 

Well today brings Trucking in 2022 to a end for me. Karen earned a bubble bath for getting through harvest trouble free. She is tucked away inside ready for some maintenance. Weather forecast has changed for the third time. Now we will get blizzard conditions. 50 plus MPH and a high of 1⁰ American on Friday. Who fricken knows. We will just see.

 

I haven't been out for 3 days wind chills at at least -37c with today -47c windchill.
55kph gusts are normal with a few at 65kph.
Air temp has not been above -29c.
Christmas is supposed to be in the minus single digits and will stay there for 7 to 10 days (according to the weather guesses)

 

I worked in this weather for years
Now I don't need to go out in it (grin).
