Yep that was back in the 90’s
But to be good in the snow to me means unplowed high snow and drifts. The good subaru were before they put the electronic crap in them! Since they started with the computer controlled crap they have been terrible out here in anything worth calling a storm!
Tow my neighbor out at least 3 or 4 times every stinking year and one that was given to me for free to run around the property, couldn’t even pull away from the fire Pitt ( basically flat with a crusty snow about 2 inch deep) so I got in a 2 wheel drive pick up and pushed it in and burnt the worthless thing ( you get more for scrap that way)

I also remember when people used thier brains and our economy was strong meaning we had jobs local for people and they didn’t have to all drive an hour away. Every town had some reasonably decent jobs that people could simply walk to work or get a ride with the person on the street that knew how to drive.Siinman, mjd4277, ducnut and 1 other person Thank this. -

ducnut, PaulMinternational, JoeyJunk and 2 others Thank this.

Now, 30 years later they want to pay $16 an hour to a driver with 10 years of experience to be a yard jockey.
30 years later....and wonder why everybody sucks. Everybody sucks because you sucked first. -

That more was sarcastic responses to someone that thinks people want to be out driving in that crud and are just stupid. No, most of the people had no choice to be there. After all who would volunteer to venture out in that crap unless the other options were worse. (Loosing a job being an example)
Yes some were stupid (I'll just go to my mistress tonight) but most I doubt were.skallagrime Thanks this. -
Yes. All those people are going to work at 10:30 am on xmas eve. And last night at 8:00. People are stupid and they do drive to do unnecessary things in the bad weather. Heck we did it last night for a freaking softball clinic/lessons. I told everyone there I hope this was worth the risk to get one more lesson in. I just got stupid blank stares. People do what they want when they want with no regard to common sense or risk.
Yesterday My neighbor didn’t want bothered by their kid while doing some stuff so they drove her to grandmas. Went back later and picked kid up. Then left again to get Taco Bell. This weren’t two isolated incidents. We both joined the stupid crowd.Siinman, JonJon78 and austinmike Thank this. -
I enjoy driving in a storm. I carry all the essentials and make good money pulling those AWD cars and SUV’s out between plowing driveways and parking lots open!
