Yeah I don’t know what’s going on with TQL. Deb El/Kosher Foods in Rock Hill NY is brokered by TQL. Pre-Elogs, this was my go to place to break even.
Now the loads coming out are crap. They used to have 1,800 mile loads going to TX for $2.25. Now it’s 1,800 to TX for $1.50 with 6 freakin stops. They don’t pay anymore detention also.

Hi I am a broker from TQL, and for drivers saying that us brokers don't have the right to make the profits we make because we are not in a truck hauling the freight is ridiculous. Not every load we make hand over fist with, you have to understand we are talking to real customers everyday who have to pay these rates to get their freight hauled. Sometimes us brokers only make $50 margins on loads, because our customer is prepaid and can only afford to pay what they pay. Sometimes we make $1000 to 2000 margins on that, but you have to understand we only receive 25% of that margin because most of the money goes to our IT team, accounting team, logistic coordinators, claims department, Load distress team, carrier services, and so many more people working behind the scenes to make sure everything goes well. We have the right to make our money because we are the ones making 500 cold calls a week to these customers, spending months, sometimes years to be able to haul their freight. We are the ones making 150 cold calls to drivers to ask them to cover lanes we know are difficult. We are the ones who have to deal with lying dispatchers, lying truck drivers, and we take the blame if something doesn't go well not the company of these drivers and vis versa. When a truck driver has an issue with our customer we also take the blame not our customer. We are the ones who get the calls at midnight, 1,2 in the morning from our customers asking about their load, meanwhile yall get to work on your own schedule. But when we say we are 24/7/365 that's not a saying our customers can literally call us personally at any moment and we have to give the right answer.
Truck driving company's have the ability's to reject a load they think are paying too low, they also have the ability to do what we do and try to make money on their own, and I even encourage it. Because maybe doing what we do everyday will make you a little more understanding of what goes on behind the scenes when you call up company's like CH Robinson and TQL asking for loads. We are not all scammy, we have families, friends, personality, it is a business -
My ONLY ONLY gripe with TQL is the non stop phone calls for stuff I can't run. It is phone abuse! Phones lives matter.

I've personally got nothing against brokers, and I've never had a bad experience with TQL. But don't act like your job is difficult. Throw tarps in January in upstate New York and get back to me. You exist because we humans like convenience. You make our jobs easier finding loads, and it's easier for the shipper finding trucks. You found a niche, and it's a good one in my opinion. But to say it's "difficult" is laughable. -
