100's of thousands of pieces of luggage lost and stacked everywhere in airports across the nation.
Lots of that will be stolen. Never put valuables and medicines in checked baggage.
    ~
Something similar happened in Ireland. Airports put the lost luggage in trucks and buried it in huge holes dug in the ground.

Flat Earth Trucker and lual Thank this.

A few years ago I left Las Vegas for Beijing. Had to change planes in Los Angeles.
Arrived in Beiijing and no luggage; 4 large suitcases.
A few days later a van pulled up in from of my condo. Two women wearing stewardess uniforms said, "We found your lost luggage."
They said Los Angeles put it on the wrong flight and the suitcases went to Amsterdam.
The suitcases hadn't been opened or damaged.
A Chinese airline got the luggage in Amsterdam and finally got it to me. I asked if I owed any money and the women said, "No, we did this as a courtesy and welcome to Beijing."
Now I take direct flights from Las Vegas to Beijing or Shanghai so I don't have to change planes.

i have a family member that works at our airport. she is a passenger assistant.

i pick her up after work, and take her home.

anyway, she said the "piles of luggage is unbelievable"

and that the other night, (monday) if i recall, she said there was the LOOONGEST line from the South West counter to the other end of the building, something like 500 people standing for hours on end.

the people were yelling/screaming at the counter people, who are not at fault, thier hands are tied thanks to management.

my family member learned a lesson long, long ago.....LEAVE EARLIER, or STAY a bit LATER, during the winter months

Airlines deserve this, they get so pity from me. Sub par service, cramped planes, poor customer service and out of control prices. Couldn’t have happened to someone more deserving.
