!!!! The pre-trip and the driving part were a breeze. I got as close to failing as possible on the alley-docking. had to use all 4 pull-ups and still barely got in. i was really good at it during practice, but just choked under pressure for my test. I knew it was all that stood between me and the road test, which I knew would be easy. Got an 86 including the 8 points lost on using all 4 pullups on the alley-dock.

Good deal, congratulations. Don't let the alley-docking throw you; wait'll you see some of the places you'll be asked to put that trailer in real life. :biggrin_25523:

Yep, pull-ups are only punitive in the testing world. In the real world do as many as you have to in order to get the job done right. Don't let those drivers sitting around staring at your backing rattle you, you are just momentary entertainment for them. Everyone has been in your shoes at one time.
Now get ready for the real thing.....a trucking job!

Congrats Jammin! I got mine last week, and alley docking almost got me too! I was just like you, did great at the practice range, but almost choked up at the DMV...as was said, in the real world, you get as many pull ups and GOAL's as needed to safely back your truck..

yea we have a ton of fuel in north dakota and not many people to haul it around. I still wouldnt get the job without experience but my brother's longtime girlfriend's dad is part owner of the company
