Nope, she sat outside shivering through it all. When I built the engine this time I left out the block heater element since in 4 years I never ran the plug wiring anyway. There's no reason she shouldn't start unless it's well into the negatives. I was a little concerned since I didn't treat my fuel, but the davco was nice and clear.

Old triple nickel needed a snort and then started freezing/gelling the pump. Was able to get some cetane boost and amsoil cold flow into it before it froze up completely and died, but I'm using heating oil from the late 80's - I doubt even if it was treated, whatever freeze protection it had fumed off decades ago lol.

 

Doesn't look like much effort went into that. But it could've been -15° when he loaded it and in that case, good enough, who knows.

 

Gonna be a hell of rumble when that comes down !!

Beyond the horrible tarp job. Am i looking at ratchet straps hooked around the winches ?? Or does he just got slack tied up?? So many questions lmao
