Thanks man. I plan on continuing trucking for the future. My wife and are I financially stable for me to never have to work again but I couldn't take advantage of that unless it was necessary. As soon as I am fully rehabbed I will hit the road again. I'm planning on being off for 6-10 months just to make sure my body is in a good physical condition to support the open deck lifestyle again.
Side note. Had I had surgery when the original injury occured in 2005 this may have been a non-issue. But, as a young man who felt he had super human strength and ability I decided against it and by 2008 the injury occured again and this time it was worse. I went through a years long program of physical therapy and strength conditioning and I felt good after. Then, a third injury occured in 2014 that really set me back.

NJ was out collecting revenue on New Year's Eve. 295 north bound which is never open was actually open. Blew that one half asleep and didn't even realize it til I was past the exit and saw the gestapo in there. Just a little flip sign with no lights. And then on 78 by the gap, both sides were open on the holiday.

No wonder your back is sore. Thats 4 1/2" drill pipe? Rolling that stuff on with pipe ramps is hard work unless you have a forklift. Just kiddin, take care of your back or you'll be walkin around like a guy that 70 1/2 years old. To the day........cke, CAXPT, thatsright and 5 others Thank this.

Yeah for sure. I used to be dumb and try and He-Man everything but ever since I hit thirty I decided to work smart and not hard.
My biggest fear now with my back and my legs is that I'll be unable to enjoy life with my family. Our son is 7 now and loves sports and the outdoors and I gotta make sure I can still be an active Dad to do those things with him.cke, CAXPT, thatsright and 5 others Thank this. -
Happy new years folks. We lit the grill 7pm last night. I only took a few pics. Sold over 400lbs. Brisket, chicken quarters, whole chickens, ribs, pork burnt ends, sausage, Mac and cheese.

I tried them at Sapp Bros in SLC. Horrible, horrible salty and over seasoned. Maybe they weren't done correctly, but I don't have an interest in trying again. Worse than my wife's cooking when we got married, and almost as bad as the prime rib I ruined one Christmas lol.pete781693, Flint1, cke and 6 others Thank this.
