Hello everyone, I have a 95 freightliner fld120 with a 12.7 Detroit series 60 in it. I notice my rmp guage isn't working but sometimes works for short periods of time. Where should I start looking to see if it's a faulty sensor or faulty guage? Also I have a vacuum guage as well that isn't working at all. Thanks in advance!

I have a 98. My tach didn’t work either. It ended up being the harness that plugs into gauge and goes to truck wiring.
I’m not sure if it’s available separately. I bought the gauge and only needed the harness. Available at Freightliner.

Did you replace the skeleton or something.?
Good too know about that harness. Maybe I'll try one of them.?
My tach works when it feels like it. Figured I have a bad ground wire or something, but there is no rhyme or reason to it. Can be perfect still idling at 900rpm, & just drops to reading only 4-500rpm. Then goes back to 900 when it feels like it. Also jumps around roll'n down the super slab. But sometimes stays steady on bumpy i80 around Gary, IN.. lol Exhaust note tends to get me by just fine, but be nice if it worked..D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair and JoeyJunk Thank this. -

Here are the part numbers. If you google the first number a lot of suppliers have it pictured upside down which can be confusing.

I got the skeletons from Miami Star as well. Fit was excellent. They are OEM.
Texture seemed off, like it was “too” textured. But then just realized mine were 20 years old. Everything lined up great and very pleased. Hard to say if price was justified, but I had many broken tabs that were diving my OCD nuts.
And I took my dash apart just to change the skeletons, so it was a job. Ended up addressing some other issues while I was in there, but left some unaddressed as well…procrastination for the win!singlescrewshaker, JoeyJunk and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Oh yeah, one skeleton (can’t remember which) came with new clips for the tabs, and one didn’t. Just fyi.
