You did see the picture of his “truck” right?

 

He ended up looking like a dope by hiring that driver..so now this is how he’s dealing with the embarrassment.

Probably things didn’t go well and doesn’t want to disclose any more details.

 

The first red flag for me was him mentioning "gas" card. Anyone that's been in this business more than a week refers to it as "fuel"...

Almost a guaranteed, every review on that website of this driver was from him...

As someone mentioned, this is a civil court matter not a criminal police matter. 100% no BOLO was placed on this truck considering the driver is still actually working for him...

Sounds to me like a classic case of a shady 1099 outfit getting a taste of their own medicine.

I'd only be fair if the OP listed his company name here... Hopefully the driver sues him for defamation.

I can’t believe cash advances by drivers is considers commonplace. Honestly, there’s nothing written our employee handbook about no cash advances, I just figured it was common knowledge that it would not be ok.

 

He posted it himself on page 4..

I figured this but don’t come frantically asking for help, get help, and then play funny guy when you’re no longer in a panic.

IMO that discredits yourself much more then making some major mistakes and being honest about it.
