No help with the abs as my '95 ain't need that newfangled device..
But I'm chuckling over here cause I just finished up a chassis grease by candlelight & now I'm bypass'n the bunk ac unit to try & isolate a problem.. Lmao

Sealco Commercial Vehicle Products - ABS Blink CodesRideandrepair, singlescrewshaker and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
I replaced the modulator valve outside below the fifth wheel. I forgot about the box under the bunk. I will start there tomorrow.
Rideandrepair and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -
I don’t know much, but my ‘99 has a trailer auxiliary switch by the starter button. Took me awhile to realize that needed to be on if I didn’t want to see the ABS light on the trailers lol.Rideandrepair, JoeyJunk and ducnut Thank this.

Joey before you do anything else, get a multi meter and test the center wire on your trailer plug coming from the tractor.
If there's no electricity in the center plug you have to get electricity to that. When you plug in your light cord that electricity is what goes back and activates your abs and gives you that light.
If the light did not flash on another trailer you probably don't have electricity to the center pin. First fix that if that's the problem and try again.
If you find you have no electricity check where the wires come in behind the plug on the tractor where you plug in the cord to. You may have a bad cord.
My truck is a 95 Freightliner like yours but I had no ABS on the truck and no Provisions for abs and I had to put electricity to that wire for the ABS on my trailer.
Your truck itself is exempt from ABS it's before the requirement although whoever ordered it I suppose they ordered it with that but you could take all that junk off of there and throw it away.
But you need that center pin on the trailer plug to have electricity.Rideandrepair and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
Will do. Thank you very much!!Dino soar Thanks this.

If you have the box (ecu) under the bunk. Pretty sure my trucks ecu is a Bendix. Need to get Bendix blink code list. It’s online. There’s a switch on the side, hold it and get the blink codes if any. I had a bad power wire going into the modulator ( or whatever it’s called) on the brake valve, under the fifth wheel. The wire runs from the ecu under bunk to the modulator. It’s in sections. Mine was the section of line right off the valve, it ran about halfway to the bunk, inside the right side rail. Easy fix, if that’s the problem.
JoeyJunk Thanks this.
