LOL, Your entire post was pure garbage, child like, no intelligent remarks made.
One thing you are right about! You wouldn't find anyone to talk to on the Ham Bands. You would have nothing in common. Doctors, lawyers, priests, Airline pilots, Professors, Stock Brokers...Many many very intelligent people who inspire, start thought provoking conversations, and have much to contribute to the radio hobby.

    YOU WOULD NOT LIKE IT!

Hey....Go for it! They enforce DOT laws, Just not FCC/CB rules.
In spite of what housefly says...Nobody cares and nobodies doing anything about the CB rules and few people outside the community of closet dwellers care about the oh so important hobby radio rules!

When it comes to CB/Ham radio it isn't that I don't like the rules or even know them for that matter...I just don't care!

They DON'T? Maybe this fellow thinks different now!:biggrin_2559:
    *********************************************************
It has come to the attention of the Federal Communications Commission that at various times in the last several months you have operated overpowered transmitting equipment on 11 meters that has interfered with communications in the 10 meter band, for which a license is required. The Commission's rules require that you operate your CB station with an FCC certified CB transmitter. The rules also prohibit the use of external radio frequency power amplifiers (sometimes called linears or linear amplifiers). The rules further provide that use of a non-certified CB transmitter and/or a power amplifier voids your authority to operate the station."

Operation of radio transmitting equipment without a valid FCC
authorization is a violation of Section 301 of the Communications Act of
1934, as amended, and may subject the responsible parties to substantial
monetary forfeitures, in rem arrest action against the offending radio
equipment, and criminal sanctions including imprisonment. Because
unlicensed operation creates a danger of interference to important radio
communications services and may subject the operator to severe penalties. This warning emphasizes the importance of complying strictly with these legal requirements.

UNAUTHORIZED OPERATION OF THIS RADIO STATIONS MUST CEASE IMMEDIATELY You have ten (10) days from the date of receipt of this warning to respond to this office. The response must contain a statement of the specific action(s) taken to bring your CB station into compliance with the Commission's rules and should include a time line for completion of
pending corrective action(s). You are directed to support your response with a signed and dated affidavit or declaration under penalty of perjury, verifying the truth and accuracy of the information submitted in your response. Your response should be sent to the address in the letterhead and reference the listed case number.

use all relevant information before it, including information you disclose
in your reply, to determine what, if any, enforcement action is warranted
    in this matter.

The source of this information comes from www.fcc.gov/amateur enforcement actions. I left off the amateur enforcement actions as this would not necessarily concern CB ops. Of course, you may visit the FCC website and read them.

The above-quoted post is one of the biggest misconceptions (like so many other CB myths and legends), AND one of the reasons hams often express disdain for CB. It's the BIG, BAD, COWBOY, OUTLAW "Reddio" operator that is part of CB's reputation.

It IS all about respect, fellas. However, in the "quarrel" between hams and CBers, much of the bad rep is brought on by the ATTITUDE of the operators themselves! And, YES! There's bad apples in the ranks of ham radio--and nothing would please THIS ham more than to see their tickets YANKED and to be slapped with heavy fines! Truckers often complain that they get no respect. Well.........................................? Perhaps its time to turn inward and examine the CAUSE of this disrespect. COULD it be that this, "GANGWAY!!!! OUTTA MY WAY!!!! I'M THE BIGGEST, BADDEST, MEANEST HOMBRE THIS SIDE OF THE PECOS, AN' AIN'T NOBODY GONNA STOP ME FROM DOIN' ANYTHING I WANT TO!" Is THAT the way you conduct yourself with your radio? Trying to step on the other guy whose doing the same thing YOU are: looking for directions to his dock? And not ONLY is this attitude reflected in person, but by THIEVING frequencies and bands that belong to others. Yet while decrying any action against YOU, you, in turn, will scream bloody murder if someone broke in your truck and STOLE that precious "10 Meter" radio. YOU say, 'WHY HOW DARE THEM HAMS TELL FCC I'M ON THEM CHANNELS", but you'd call the cops in a skinny minute if somebody STOLE something from YOU, right? SURE you would!

FCC WILL come after you based on complaints, no matter WHAT your CB buddies tell you. True, they don't devote the resources to it they should, but because of COMPLAINTS from hams AND OTHER LICENSED SERVICES, more attention IS being paid to it.

As to getting caught, it IS a turkey shoot. You might(?) get away with it; you might not!~ If you DON'T get away with it, then what? Ya got $10,000 worth of "big and bad" reddio operator to pay that fine with? :biggrin_2559:
The whole difference in the two activities is, amateur operators, generally speaking, DO obey the laws. For this, they get THOUSANDS of frequencies and bands, they are technologically catered to in their equipment options, they get recognized for their disaster relief efforts (See Haiti earthquake), even FUNDS from FEMA for training and equipment. It is RESPECT EARNED BY THEM and given to those they assist. If CBers were even the least inclined to follow the rules---which, btw, ARE there to facilitate, not restrict) maybe they, too, would not be held in disdain by the public.

But the argument goes on and on with no end in sight.

Not belonging to your intelligensia I am having trouble with one thought. If your thought provoking running buddies are so much better why are you on a forum populated mainly by the same people you express disdain for? Did your Doctors, lawyers, priests, Airline pilots, Professors, and Stock Brokers find out how lame you are and give you the boot?
