    Look like projector beams.
You could try to buff out the plastic w a couple of compounds to clear them up and see if it helps or just replace the entire unit with stock or aftermarket upgrades.

    Concorde Thanks this.

Dorman offer a replacement, at ~$350ea. If you have a commercial account at a chain auto parts store, you might be able to get them at a discount, since most carry Dorman products.

You can't fix garbage, replace them with OEM/equivalent like the dormans mentioned above.

Don't mess with aftermarket safety related items like lighting unless from reputable manufacturer like trucklite, grote, etc - especially headlights.

Same goes for bulbs, 4000k-4500k white is most efficient, don't get blue/purple.

    Siinman and ducnut Thank this.

Unfortunately Volvo OEM is garbage. They projector reflector is plastic covered with vacuum deposited aluminum to create the mirror. In one year reflector finish is burned to brown because bulb is too hot. You have to buy new headlight for next year or two if you want to see anything on the road.
Car projector headlights use aluminum reflector with chrome mirror and working decades long. Shame on cheap Volvo for robbing drivers.

    That is unfortunate to hear.
I noticed a lot of the pre-refresh volvos had fogged up lenses & bouncy/loose projectors.

Hopefully the new models fixed those problems?

    The
The trucklite LED are very good. I think they are 900 each but well worth it if you want a good upgrade.
