That is true but maybe more telling is the number of drivers who thought the grass was greener elsewhere and find themselves back in Tom's class Grateful that May allowed them to come back.

Hey Wellgolf, just got my cdl and looking at May. I would be going to the Payette terminal as well. How was orientation, and how are you doing out on the road. How's your training going, miles, layovers etc.. I'm really trying to find the best fit, being that one mistake could end ones career.:biggrin_2556:

any info would be very helpful~ thanks Liteguy

My dm is Shirley, I have not been out on a trip with her yet as my dm so I don't know much about her. I was with my trainer and his dm was Mike.
As far as your questions Liteguy, I would say so far I have been happy with May. The orientation was all right, you know videos and paperwork. You will go take your test drive the first morning and if you don't get by that your done.
When I was with my trainer we did about 2800 miles a week for the 3 weeks I was out with him and I drove 90% of the time. I think I had a good trainer and learned as much as he could stuff into my fat head in the short time I was out with him.
We never had much layover time, I think the longest time we had to wait for a dispatch was about 8 hours.
Good luck with your choice, try to keep in mind that as with most starter companys you are going to find things that will rub you the wrong way and you just got to be able to go with the flow untill you get some expriance.
