Letter from Millis

Hey spanky, how long have you been with Millis? are you running pretty hard to get those miles? seems like you read these posts and guys love it there, or so they say, and the next thing you read they are looking for somewhere else to work. how do you like it there? thanks.

 

I think what this quote right here said it all. The reality is trucking is not for everyone and alott of people don't realize it till they are inside the "BEAST" and it slaps you in the face...

 

i have been with millis for a little over 5 years now running those miles i was using my most of my driving time but i was pre planned on my next loads before i was empty with the loads i had so as soon as i got empty i could head for the next one and keep on moving. i do like it here they don,t bother me they let me run the area's i want to for the most part and dont complain about which route i take as long as i get there on time. they also let me take off when ever i want to for the most part and dont say anything about it.

 

Did you have previous experiance? or got to mti? Thanks for the post, I appreciate it. I have been a little confused with some of what you read. I do know its a tuff deal the "lifestyle" and to drive, but if you understand that, and work hard, and just do your job, (which is my attitude) it should be easier to make it work out.

Hey lil brother, yeah its 3 weeks like Mceheel says then out with the trainer for 5 wks. By all the reports I have seen etc... yes, the school sounds good. Read spankys posts, he's been there a while and would probably give you first hand info.

wats up aka? I'm with rixter, spanky has been a tremendous source of information. I have researched a 100 companies for over a year now & from what i've been told from reading & talking to actuall drivers for MILLIS I really feel like this company is the BEST for me... I will find out come this Sunday... I am 45 and am ready for this change. The little woman is backing me 100%, the money is there if you are not afraid to WORK, the benefits are there, i'm not looking back man... I am a firm believer that life is what you make out of it, I appreciate everything everyone has said about trucking, the good & the bad, life gives the good & the bad just have to keep on rolling but the only one that can walk in MY shoes is ME. By the grace of GOD i will finish my working days as a TRUCK DRIVER...
