Hey Dabs, why were they rejected? Did the load shift, or was it product itself? Just Curious we all go there all the time, maybe its something to watch for on our end. The cucumbers probably came from Mexico so it might have been a delay on EuroFreshes end, they probably already had the buyer in Chicago set up in advance if they were refused. Did the miles verses time work to your advantage? PM me if u don't want to comment here.![]()

I am doing good dabs. I went to Tampa with my dad to pick up a saw for his workshop. On the way down, we saw truck similar to our go through the scales; so on the way back we did the same and got green lighted. I am flying out on monday for my new job and will update my progress. If I see you guys, I'll give you a holler.

Eurofresh have some quality issues lately. Especially them mini cucumbers. Once I delivered they were all soft when they inspected it. Another time while inspecting towards the fifth box down the quantity started getting smaller. Looks like someones been stealing cucumbers and they don't know it. I've mentioned it osd and eurofresh still does it once in a while.
So now here is something I'm trying to figure out all these yrs. How come the product we get from eurofresh that delivers somewhere in the us comes from mexico and what they grow there goes back into mexico? I asked them once and they claim that the mexican tomatoes are better lol. if someone can explain that would answer my curiosity
trucker43 Thanks this. -
alan... arent you the guy on this thread with the most time at jct? lol

That particular consignee has a policy of no more than 8% degradation of product. We delivered other produce to them and there was no problems except with the peppers... which were from Mexico. They sampled 128 peppers... 9 did not pass their inspection so they rejected all the yellow peppers. No load shift issues. The extra drop this created equals more miles so more pay, both for drop and extra miles. It has made a tiring run even more tiring making this one 1 pick up and 5 drops in 5 days. We also have a pre-trip... it was suppose to be loaded today... ummm still got one drop left one this load! That one is getting adjusted.

I can answer a little of that, Eurofresh sends most of it's tomatoes to Mexico for cleaning and packaging due to labor cost. $8.00 a day for a worker there compared to $8.00 an hr here.
