    Ok, maybe I don't drive a tractor-trailer anymore, but I wish I did. Now I am a service tech for a company and was driving my brand new service van and couldn't believe my eyes of what I saw. I never seen anything like this before and this was on I77S in NC.

    you'll see alot of the HHG guys have that expandible rear deck......at least up here

    Really, I would have though that we were not allow to do that. I mean it looked like the straps was loose and I though of what could happen if that lawnmower would had fallen off.

    We call that extension a tailgate, and usually only use it for nasty stuff like patio furniture, swingsets and like that mower. Some states will let you get away with having one on a 53 footer, others won't.

    thats funny we seen a flatbed on 55 in ill few yrsago w a kids riding toy strapped in the middle . wished i would of had my camera then

    Moving companies have had those "add-on" deck's for year's. We used one back in 86' when we moved from Cali. to hault my dad's Honda on.
