The best broker is one that really needs you or you build a solid relationship with.

There is no simple answer.

 

Everybody's version of a good broker is different. Some want the highest rate , some want consistent work. Some want challenging specialized freight, some want easy work... you get the picture. Find what works for you and work with them.

 

I think the forum gods get a kick out of threads like this so they allow the comments. I also believe they make bets on whos is the funniest response.

 

Can you find them on tinder? I’m looking for a broker in an open deck relationship.

 

I wouldn't hate TQL so much if I didn't have to block their number to stop receiving calls from them. Other than that they have always paid, have a competitive quickpay option, and the one time I had a load cancel with them they paid my TONU with no hassle.

 

But how much TONU ...

 

Just 250, I got lucky though because it picked up just about 10 miles from my house so I wasn't too upset about it.

 

Single best rate might not be the best broker. I had a few weeks where a broker had me running plant to plant for a flooring manufacturer across the country. Always loaded out of where I dropped off and kept on rolling as the place moved supply across the country. Easy tarp job too, only the 4 footers.

 

I want to thank you for giving the man an honest answer. That's something that isn't common on this forum. While the man probably shouldn't have asked that question, he and I are in the generation where we readily shared information so I'm sure he meant nothing by it. To this day, I will share anything I know, but the problem is, I don't know anything. But a sincere thank you none the less.
