I watched that video & i didn't see any one hit the truck. You said you were making a left hand turn. It looks like the cars & vans were turning right.

The video only shows the flow of traffic after the accident. The reason for the video is to demonstrate how many vehicles were actually coming off the highway's exit and not staying in their proper lane while entering onto the main road... that is all. Imagine coming off this exit, merging onto the main drag while one of these vehicles suddenly crosses into the direction of your rear trailer wheels. That is all this video is demonstrating - you have to use some imagination as the accident is in pretense meaning after the fact.

Do you actually think I would be expecting an accident therefore whipped out my video camera and started filming? C'mon people, 'THINK'.

As I left the intersection and made my 'LEFT HAND' turn, a van driven by a paraplegic (a van that was operated by custom hand controls) started crossing over into my lane. Now by watching this video as a tool you should (hopefully) be able to visualize what would happen if I had continued rolling in the direction I was going in, but then again, maybe not. For those who can visualize, I stopped the truck in hopes that this van would pull back into her lane but instead, she continued crossing over into my lane and ran into (from behind) the rear/side of the trailer. Again, if I had continued rolling into the direction that I was moving, I would have instead, ran over the front of the van but by stopping my truck, this would have given her a chance to make a correction in her steering, after all, we were only moving through the intersection at a whopping speed of 5 mph.

It wasn't difficult for the insurance adjuster to figure out what had happened nor was there a whole lot of brain activity spent by the hearing examiner seeing things any more clearer than they could have been. There are those who have the mechanical aptitude to envision simplicity and then there are those who are blinded by the light.

I've had people doing that to me a lot lately. I just take up all the lanes now, screw em.
