so the way they broke it down to me was
    2018-2022 Cascadia for $900 @ .09 cents per mile
    2023 Cascadia for $975 @ .10 cents per mile
    liability/cargo $222
    physical damage$154
    trailer rent $550
    ELD$25
    escrow$100
    Fuel at discount from .10-$1.50
only maintenance i pay is for windows, tires

So basically I guess I'm asking is it even possible to make any profit. Trying to figure out I'm just getting into otr was doing local before, and this is what a company sent me

You're basically asking should I enter this fleece purchase. Hell no, that is the answer. Period. No ifs ands or butts about it. Definitely no this one. 550 for trailer rent, what is the trailer a dry box? That is way too high weekly for a trailer. The payment of $900-$975 a week? I pay $968 PER MONTH for my truck. I couldn't imagine beating myself against the wall to make that high of a payment every week. If they're covering all the maintenance, they wouldn't be charging you that 9 cpm surcharge. So they're lying to you already right out of the gate. Nobody is going to encourage you entering a fleece purchase but that choice is ultimately yours to make. Even if it is a walk away lease just a good general rule of thumb is this, any and all escrows you paid you will likely never have returned when you walk away from any lease purchase. Doesn't matter if its $200 you had in maintenance and escrow accounts or $50,000. You will end up losing most if not all of it, unless you find a lawyer and sue to recover it.

$8000 a month + Fuel and aforementioned Maintenance for a lease purchase (I’m guessing) is a lot of money. If you had your own numbers you could rent one cheaper then that or buy.

Penske isn't even that high I don't believe. You're right. Be cheaper leasing from someone else.

Thanks I'm having trouble having company picking me up because I'm on step 6 of clearinghouse rtd. An the only one that even would take me is the above offer. With final decision and negotiations on prices done on first day. Don't want to get there and run for no profit or go in the red trying to make the weekly payments

We can all understand that. In that case if you need to work and that is your ONLY option, then I guess you don't have much choice. Final decision and negotiations done on day one, day one of orientation? This sounds like a Chicago based company am I right?
