Problem is how long you've had a drivers license for a car + your cdl.

May have to start with a company that you may not want as a first company. All is not lost though.
Most companies want 12 months with a drivers license.
We'll find something for you to get a start with, but don't be too picky. After 6 more months a whole new world of trucking will open up to you.

Remember, you need only 6 more months for a high quality, high paying cdl job.
Take what can get for now in any driving job for 6 more months.

Tell this company you already have a CDL-A, but will do any type driving for 5 more months if required.
Say you're willing to be a driver helper until you're qualified to be a CDL-A driver.

Why can’t you list those? You came from another country. Just list the information they’re asking for, from back in your home country. What these companies are asking for is required by our government. You have to list that information.

Do you know of any local truck drivers who came from your home country? If so, ask them to help you. If you don’t know anyone, go online and search for “Cuban Trucking Company in Tampa”, as an example. The search should turn up trucking companies with Cuban association. I don’t know where you’re from, but, just put your home country in place of “Cuban”. My ex-girlfriend was Filipino. Whenever she needed assistance, I just searched “Filipino Realtor” or “Filipino Lawyer”, for example. It was important to have people help her who could speak her language, so she could understand. As you know, it’s very helpful to get someone who’s from your home country and speaks your language.
