Gay Couple Interested in Trucking

Maybe you misunderstood me because I meant there should be a law in place to protect you. And thank you for confirming my stance on leaving the sexuality out of the work place. If anyone is stupid enough to make signs or tell their boss about their sexual activities while working in an "at will" state then they really can't bi-tch about what happens to them. Your example is right along what companies do and hide behind "at will". The only recourse you have when unjustly fired in one of those states is if they violated any state or federal law. For example they came to you and said we are going to fire you because you're a woman. Or you can prove that was the case. As it stands now there is no provision in the law for sexual preference. So relax I'm on the side of fairness. I don't discriminate agasin't gays but I don't want to hear what her or she does just like I don't want to hear about any sexual escapades from anybody. It's all personal and should stay that way.

LodiKen this thread isn't about politics. Hedon guess you aren't getting what's many are trying to say. As far as I'm concerned like many have posted here is one should keep their personal lives personal. Its really annoying to me when someone hints that I owe them this or that because they are gay,black,or whatever . I like many simply DON'T CARE if a person is gay,black, or whatever. I give people I meet the same respect I want, anything more than that they have to earn.

 

not to disparage hedron's way into teaming, but wouldn't you rather get your training from someone who has more than 2 years experience?

i would recommend that both of you go to school at the same time, and then go with 2 different trainers. you both will experience the same challenges and then again different ones. it's those different problems and how you find the solutions that will be invaluable to you. then once you team, you can help each other.

and fight over the best way to do things.

Scuby, it seems that we are just going to have to accept that in this arena we can't all meet on common ground. And that's ok with me. I don't think you owe me anything at all. You have your perspective and I have mine.

I understand that you think many of you just aren't getting through to me. And frankly I feel like you all aren't understanding what I'm trying to say, either. However, as has been stated, this probably isn't the place for this conversation so if you'd like to continue it perhaps we should start a new thread titled, "So what do those gays want, anyway?" or something.
