When you first started what was the specific agreement on pay? You mention expenses so was it a percentage of net revenue?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

70 percent of each load. Essentially paying out of my pay to pay for his lease. It sounds silly now but Before I started with him I had 4 month experience and was told I was going to be making thousands a week lol but that wasn't the case

When you're employed by someone an driving their equipment, their insurance should cover their damage to equipment in the event of an accident. Only way you would be responsible is if you were buying the equipment thru a lease purchase or outright loan arrangement. In which case you would have insurance for such an event.

Sounds like a learning experience. You may have a couple more curveballs ahead from it but it sounds like you're mentally prepared for that.

If you don't mind, what services do you view as being covered by the 30% cut they took (I get you were on the hook for his lease out of your cut) and what type of arrangement will you look for moving forward? Straight cpm, percentage, local hourly?
