Greasy chicken, dry pre-fabbed heat lamp burgers, rubbery breakfast food, and Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel for the win!

At home till Friday, then headed for northern Idaho. Knocking out some truck and trailer work. Replaced all the brake chambers on the truck (25 years old, all original), new MGM 3036's on the drives, and Haldex 24's on the steers, and rotated my trailer tires.

Ordered a door handle and latch, window motor, and blower switch yesterday. Knock that stuff out tomorrow.

Supposed to get 4-8" of snow this afternoon, so grocery stores here in Arkansas will be without bread and milk till the weekend.

Gonna try to put together a pull up bar that I can put in the rub rail. Need more excersize on the road, and i like pull ups.

    Have a great day everyone

You called it, two this year.
Minuses and snow later this week coming down from Canada [shakes fist towards the Great White North] then headed your way it looks like.
Guys that held off getting a jump on this years work for the win.

I have never figured out the bread and milk thing. Tried to research why and found something about Pittsburgh 1950. That’s where, not why.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV do you have anyone that you could ask?

BTW, for pull-ups, just put your leather gloves on and use the rub rail. It’s perfect for pull-ups.

Was eating lunch in a watering hole and saw a commercial about Night Court. Apparently they are going to start up the old 80’s show again. I was curious to see whom from the old show would be in it. Somehow, I saw her pic. Any guesses who she is?

Not sure if it’s the answer you’re looking for but…. Milk & bread are 2 very universal foods.

Growing up bread wasn’t just for a bologna sandwich, it was our hotdog buns, and our hamburger buns too, as well as our toast.
Aunt Winnie would let bread dry out then crumbled it up to make her dressing for a Turkey dinner.

When things were tough and drilling was slow we never done much store shopping. Aunt Winnie would make flapjacks big as her 12” cast iron skillet, all the left overs were used for bread that day. The gristmill in my shop provided meal for our cornbread so no mix was ever bought.

Milk, ever make breakfast gravy without milk?? Many folks use it in their coffee too as well as in their oats. Just a universal food that will get you by a few days if you have minimal necessities to go with it….

    Just my $.02….
