I got written up a few times for mask violations during covid, and one other mirror incident a while back that was my fault.

Yes they have a 7 point system, but they gave me 3 points for this, which was enough to put me over the top.

I don't think I should have gotten any points for this, because the incident was the other drivers fault, and I was attempting to deal with the situation as safely as possible in a very difficult urban setting where sitting on the side of the road blocking traffic would have been dangerous.

That sucks.... seems like small issues to me. You will be fine though. Plenty of driving jobs out there.

Not "all" the time. They will ask you in orientation if you want to chain up. Make sure they mark it down as yes. They will enter your answer in the computer and refer to it when they are assigning loads. Your services will be in demand especially November through March. They don't force drivers to go out west, so many drivers don't go out west at all.

Sometimes they don't have freight going out there when you request, so they might offer you something else to another region of the country.

It's hard to stay only west because once I had a load to Seattle area and my backhaul was a load of bread at a bakery in Seattle bound for Costco DC in Monrovia MD.

I'd rather go west anytime of the year than go east. Thanks

Called this morning talked to a recruiter. It's kinda a catch 22 your not force dispatched. But you do have to all 47 state's if you're required to run all 47 state's then you are forced dispatched right

Nobody is going to try and ram anything down your throat here. There are no screamers in the office. Once you sign on and start talking to other drivers you will find that there is nothing hard about running east of Dallas.

Yeah at poly you can pretty much avoid going west, but noway you would be able to avoid going east.

Regarding force dispatch. Backhauls are forced outbounds are not for the most part.

What’s the equipment like nowadays, did you guys say they are buying new trucks now?
How about the time off policy, sounds like that isn’t as good as it used to be?
