All I did was pass on information that was given/shown on a carrier's website.

If the info there has perhaps changed, without being updated, well...that's on THEM.

And......given your apparent attitude/outlook :angry4: :angry5:......I think Foodliner was RE-ALLY SMART to tell you that, too!!! :p :D

So you are actually going out of your way to troll. To serve what purpose? What exactly is my "attitude/outlook"?? If someone doesn't agree with you, points out your error, or is harmed by employers and points that out, they shouldn't be hired?? Is that what you are implying? Sounds like you are the one with an attitude bud. Are you entitled to troll folks because you have rank here or something? Did I miss something?? You are shooting from the hip about things, providing incorrect information, didn't walk in those shoes yourself, and if someone points this out you then minimize them, troll them, and think they shouldn't be hired for one reason or another?? Sounds like you are part of the problem in the industry and why there is such a high turn over rate IMO. Guess the, "if you don't have anything nice to say you shouldn't say anything at all" rule doesn't exist in your universe huh? Hopefully mods will do there job and correct you for trolling folks.

As I said, there are good reasons why I, and others, have stayed with Swift for all these years.
I have experienced none of that bad stuff at Swift.

The people I have worked with have always treated me with respect and kindness, and I have not heard anyone make rude comments.
But that has only been my own experience.

And maybe it is because of how I treat them, as well.
I would bet that many of those horror stories are brought about by the drivers own attitude.
As in, you reap what you sow.
Pinning it back on the driver is, sometimes, the right thing.

Very much this. I know drivers on the same account as me that would give you a completely opposite description of how things are here than my own experience. They’re the type that have problems everywhere they go and it’s always everyone else’s fault. I’ve met more people like that in this industry than any other I’ve been in.

I think you both make good points and makes sense in some cases. It's good to hear from folks saying good things. I just finished watching a video by a guy who was fired because Swift was auditing his videos on his channel and saw in one of his videos that he was using his phone in some way while driving, i.e. texting of some sort. He minimized and couldn't take accountability for a zero tolerance policy against this sort of thing so I get what you both are saying about others not taking accountability or responsibility. It was kind of funny though because even though he minimized his own actions, and ended up fired, he still recommended Swift as a good company and you can tell he was sad that he lost the job. I am spending the night watching more videos from other drivers about their experiences and what to expect for the first year kind of thing. It does sound like it might be one of the better ones when it comes to megas. Thanks for the input. I do appreciate it and going to reach back out to recruiters about the possibility of a position.

Some people work well with others, while others do not.
Some people are smart enough to learn the system and use it to their advantage, while others are not.
Some people just don't know which fights to battle and which to simply leave alone.

Some employers, and some people, are impossible to work with because they demand everything and offer nothing in return.
But it isn't just in trucking.

    Ya.
You know those forward facing cameras also can see reflections in the windshield, because they are mounted inside. More so at night.
They do not watch every second of the camera footage, but if something is flagged and is sent in they will look for everything in that footage.
I saw a video of a driver watching movies on a mounted tablet while driving, through the reflection, during a critical event that was sent in.
The critical event was an accident.
And I'm not sure how much of that footage is actually uploaded and saved, but that driver had several occasions recorded during the past couple months.

Swift is a nanny, for sure.
They watch your every move, but for good reason.
    They want safe drivers.

I am not worried about a reflection in a window on a triggered event as much as an independent 3rd party having access to the footage for 24 to 48 hour loops and being able to audit it for their own research or needs any time they want to, as well as helping them create more intrusive A.I. cameras. If they were truly "only" seeing footage on triggered events, I wouldn't care. But that's not what is happening. You are a Guinea pig for research and development reasons. The footage can be used to audit and/or data mining while you are sitting in your off hours while the truck is idling too. Even if you cover the camera you are being recorded through audio. If you think nobody is exploiting that then I have a bridge to sell you. Plus all of it is a gateway to even stricter monitoring and privacy invasion.

Have you looked at kllm? excluding a few dedicated accts, most start at 60+ cpm. Inverters and fridges are standard; no apps, but I’ve never been penalized for opti-idle usage. We accrue hometime a twice the rate of most comparable sized companies. They took me on with no verifiable work history; I just had a letter stating I’d been working on the family farm for the last few years.

I am filling out an app now...send me your name and truck # in PM for referral.
