Team Driving & Per Diem Pay

    There always have been differences between the states. The per diem rate in CA is higher than it is in AL for example. Its easier to use the $59 rate. But if you are in the higher per diem sates a lot it can make a little difference. $3.00 is not a lot-lol. I can give you the CPA # if you wish

    Thanks MM, but I found the IRS info. I realize now what you were talking about. I also remember back when I had my expediter truck, another driver telling me about doing that. But he only ran in 4 states, making it fairly easy to keep track of where he spent any given night. Running all 48 states, and Canada, I decided it wasn't worth my time to try and go back through my logs and list everything (I found out about it a good way through that year).

    Probably won't do it this time, either, will just take the standard.

    Unless I can get the IRS to figure it out for me! :biggrin_2559:
