I just got out of orientation with 2 former Wernerites. They both got screwed by Werner, one on his DAC the other on his work history. I think an abandonment is really going to hurt you in the long run, esp with the Big Blue Screw.

Thanks everyone but after giving this some thought I think I'm going to do it by the book. This is a 1400 mile round trip. I need to get paid for this trip. I'm thinking the $120 for a bus ticket or a few tanks of fuel for my friend to pick me up is nothing compared to the money I'd lose. It's gonna hurt a little but I'll get through it. Thanks for all the input. You guys (and gals) are great.

Trust me, Werner will probably hit your DAC whether you actually do anything to deserve it or not. I got an "abandonment" on my DAC by Werner...and I will still in training and on the trainer's truck! I didn't even have a truck assigned to me to abandon...but I did abandon my trainer. :)

Thats one I would contest. make them prove you were assigned a truck. I was told that as long as your with a trainer the only hits you take are moving violation types."wrecks" in the yard or backing were trainers fault? but as you all know thats only as good as the paper its written on

Still going rounds with them on that. Seems simple enough, but it's the word of a "big, respected company and industry leader" against the "pee-on newbie driver". Tough no matter what evidence one has. But no worries...my new local job is paying more than Werner ever could.

Good choice. No matter what Werner does or does not do to your DAC, you get towalk away like a man with your integrity intact. :biggrin_25514:

Yes that post was correct.. they put you on a regional board saying they will only run u those states but once they run u over 200 miles they pay only $00.15 a miles an .23 under 200 miles.. I"d be pissed off also.. I worked but Werner for 6 yrs. so im not blowing smoke here I do know this is true. Now I work for another company an Im making it what I want to make it an I like this other company ALOT.
