I was wondering if anyone currently works, or has recently worked, for Schneider Bulk out of Reserve, LA? I'm looking at a tanker position there that trains for three weeks out of Houston, $100 per day while in training. The recruiter quoted me $0.38 per mile, averaging 2,100 miles per week, and $15 per hour while on-duty not driving, with a guarantee of $1,000 per week for the first 21 weeks. Hometime is supposed to be 3 days every other week.

I was also told that I would spend two days out with a trainer and I'd be given a single-occupancy hotel room as an experienced driver.

I was hoping someone could verify this information. I would really appreciate any additional insights as well. I've looked through all the threads related to Schneider Bulk but most of them are from before they switched to this new pay structure.

That sounds like a pay schedule from a decade and a half ago. Pass

You gotta be kidding? That pay is a insult. You make more at McDonald's and be home every night.

The only way that works is if you need training on tank work . Then stay a year and get out. Because that pay rate is poverty rates ……..

And from what I’ve seen first hand you’ll starve at sni bulk …….

Schneider is one of the lowest paying company there is. And have been that way for years.

There are better places to train. In 2004 I was getting .40 cpm and 15 an hour to pull a tank. I haven’t pulled one since 2007 but I know there has to be better options

Were you new to tanker at the time or experienced? Also, what part of the country was that? Local, Regional or OTR?

I really apprecate it. How long did it take you before you felt like your skills were good enough to go somewhere else?
