ok so the big debate/ rant

    My guess is it's not a wire, but a control module sending the wrong signal/voltage. Or a pin on the control module.

    Either way it'd be a whole lot easier to diagnose if the darn thing just didn't work.

    Fair enough, this is one of those things where i have no respect for the people who had to reinvent the wheel for no actual improvement.

    real switches and relays/fuses work, are relatively easy to diagnose and trace compared to computer controlled modules.

    If the incentive is reliability, its a failure
    If the incentive is cost cutting its a failure
    If the incentive is diagnosability, its a failure
    If the incentive is to be easy for the end user to fix, its a failure
